Question Prevent kicking dirt on back seat?

New member
My 3 y.o. keeps kicking on the beige colored back seat of our car, causing a lot of dirt on them. We tried using kick mats & backseat organizers (similar to, but they don't help since he sits on center seat and manages to get his feet on the side-walls of the car that is not covered by the mats!

We find it very hard to control the kid from kicking. What can we do to save our seats?

Shoes off in the car?
I just spent a lot of time reminding, reminding, reminding...but they still stuck their feet in the back pockets and ripped them a little

I also took shoes off and made them wear slip on shoes that were easy and fast to put back on or if it was summer, flip flops.

Thanks, will try the shoes off method.. Although, all it will take is one time for him to sneak through... and the seat will be dirty again :-(

Nursing covers work very well here :) The neck loop slips over a headrest or tucks down between back parcel tray and seat (or an attach to a TA if needed) and they're nice and wide for coverage.

Be careful you don't have side airbags that come OUT of the seats, some cars have those and you wouldn't want to cover it with a T-shirt.
