Plane and car travel on Vacation

If you were going to Jamaica or Mexico what would you do for the plane and then the ride from the airport/hotel.

Kids in question are 7yr 75lbs and 6yo 38lbs.

I have basically any seat at my disposal (Canadian, but could acquire an American vest if it was suggested)

I'd probably put kids that age just in the plane's lap belt. What are you riding in from the airport to the hotel?

Are you doing any driving by private car? Or just the airport-hotel shuttle? Could you find out what type of vehicle it is? If it's a shuttle bus type thing, you might not need to bring anything. Otherwise, I'd be inclined toward backless boosters for both it's just a short ride.

One idea might be to bring one regular nbb and then also bring a Bumblebum. The 7yo could use the Bumblebum for this trip, but your 6yo would be able to use it over the next several years.
