Question Original FR in booster mode

Just wondering if it is common for the lap portion to be too high on the original FR? I will post pics from home. I tried my DD1 in DD2s FR. Normally DD1 rides in a Monterey or PW, both of which fit her well. I was not happy with the lap fit in the FR at all. Just wondering of this is common and the FR won't be usable for DD2 when she outgrows the harness

TIA

Did you flip the recline block to the back to check the booster fit? I know it seems an obvious question, but might have been missed if the seat was already installed.

Ding ding ding -- we have a winner! Duh. And I have even told people not to forget this. DUH.

In my defence, I had only had one cup of coffee at that point, it was pouring rain and DD#1 and I were parked outside of her school with time to kill. She was asking me about DD#2's seat and I had her try it out. Yes, the seat is installed with the base flipped for harness use, NOT booster use. I bet that is what makes the difference. FTR, DD#1 said the lapbelt was pretty uncomfortable on her tummy! We chatted about why when you are riding in a booster it needs to be on the top of the thighs....

Thanks so much! I feel like a complete idiot now, but I'm sure tomorrow will bring a whole brand new idiot moment for me. LOL
