Opinions on Radian (Premier) vs. Radian XT?

I need to buy another carseat for my 2 yrs old. I am attempting to install this in a KIA Magentis (aka Hyundai Sonata) in the middle with one of the outboard positions for a (old) Parkway.

She is only 25 lbs and is 25 mos old. I have no issue of buying a seat with 30 lbs rf limit since it would probably be another yr if not more for her to be 30 lbs (same growth pattern as my older 2).

The Marathon barely worked so I thought maybe the Radian of some sort. Forget the Complete Air or True Fit.

Give me the skinny on the Radian and XT in terms of quirks, pros, cons in installation, usage, etc. Which one is more user-friendly?

Thanks.

I have both (well, I have a 48 with a Comfy Soft added to it).

I think I like my XT more. I know I like the fixed headwings for sleep support (as opposed to using the hip portion of the Comfy Soft as a head pillow), and since my 48 has the old chest clip I know I prefer the new chest clip.

Ease of use and installation is about the same ... can be hit and miss, but you should be fine (try before you buy?).

Sometimes you have to watch that things don't get bunchy in terms of the harness, headwings and comfort foam behind the cover with the XT.

I dislike both boots equally :p, so I can't comment one way or the other on that aspect.

I think I'd lean towards the XT. :)

Tam - have you tried the Complete Air? If the MA came close to working, then it might work. I was actually surprised when I tried it last night.

I haven't actually used the XT, but from helping other parents with it, it seems nice enough. The headwings are definitely hard to adjust the first few times, but that's not something you'll do on a regular basis.

In the end I'd say it depends on how important the headwings are to you - they're basically the same seat otherwise since the rf'ing weight limit is a moot point.

Thanks everyone. I know I'm over thinking this :)

I will have to check the CA out. I didn't consider it thinking it would be too wide. But I guess w/o the base, it would be narrower.
