I pointed out that the SIP wings are like little pillows for when she wants to sleep in the car,

Not to be a stickler here, but the Turbo is not tested for SIP. The simple design of it makes it a better choice than some lower cost boosters because the wings are designed to protect the head more. I have a hard time with misinformation. It is a good seat, but if it had true side impact protection, you could not get it for $40:twocents:
Sorry to be picky.

It does provide more SIP than a seat without the wings or a backless booster.

Yes, it does provide more SIP, but I guess the claim that they are SIP wings is what bothers me. The sheer design of it tells us it will, but it's never been tested or claimed by Graco.
Sorry, I guess I'm being a little too picky.:sorry!:

Any highback booster should provide some level of side impact protection (when compared to a backless booster), but I, too, feel more comfortable with my child in highbacks that are made by companies that at least test in side impacts and claim the seats perform well. That's just my preference for my child, though, and I recognize there are no legal testing requirements/performance standards for side impact protection in the US.
