How do they determine expiration, anyway? Do they have some formula based on the composition of the plastic and how fast it degrades or something?

Yep, the Marathon 65 and Roundabout 50 are still sold exclusively at Target here. I don't think anywhere else carries them but I could be wrong.

It came in my email- she said her roundabout is a white base with 6 year expiration.

I knew I recognized that pattern from something else but couldn't put my finger on it!!
