Still a back adjust, but easier than the other one would have been!
Ugh, if it's a rear adjust, can you return it original poster? Get a seat with a front adjuster, you will be SO much happier with it. Also the SnugRide 22 is a fine seat, but do know that Graco also makes the SnugRide 30 and 35 which can keep your babe in the infant seat longer *if* you like the convenience of an infant seat. You'll need to move to a convertible seat at some point regardless of which SnugRide you have.

It is.

Hey, we do have the Key Fit 30 for $159 though!
Oh yes! The original poster should totally consider that!

As an aside, WHY does Graco still sell rear adjust seats? And in their travel systems no less where most people are just stuck with the seat they get because they are choosing based on stroller. I mean come on, my infant seat in 1997 was a front adjust!

Evenflo does too.

I know, right? I had a Graco Snugride (Adirondack print) in 1999 that was front adjust. Granted, I also had a Century SmartFit Plus that was rear-adjust with a metal bar to adjust the harness.

We looked at the Chicco but we got a seat AND stroller for the same price as we would have paid for just the chicco seat.

I did like the front adjuster on that seat but I think we can live with not having one.

Rear adjusts are okay as long as you adjust them. Kind of obvious, I know, but they aren't as easy to use so sometimes it doesn't get done.

Well unfortunately we're out of time now and we don't have time to change now. We really like this seat even though it adjusts from the rear. I think it will be just fine.

Lots of people do just fine with rear-adjust seats.

Here on the board, we sometimes tend to get really into finding the "best" deals, which means the best price possible with the most "perks." :) I don't think anyone meant to say there was something wrong with the seat you got, it's more just one of those "Oh, I bet we could have found you a better deal..." ;)

Oh I didn't mean it to sound rude or anything. We got the carseat and the matching stroller (which we still needed) for $150 on sale and with coupon at Baby Depot. Considering that other Alano systems are easily $180+ we snagged it up. I can definitely see how it could be a pain to work with but overall we feel like we got a good deal and a nice stroller and carseat.

Definitely happy so far. We started with the Evenflo Discovery seat and hated everything except the color. I like advice fron people who have experience. Plus I think this stuff is kinda fun too. That's why I joined the board.

So far I'm having a blast here.

Thanks to all you ladies!

You didn't sound rude! Just a bit confused as to why people were going on about it. I just felt the need to explain "us," since a lot of people don't really understand why we can get so worked up over carseats. :D

So far I'm having a blast here.

Yay! You've got to be sure and update us on how things work out once you get a baby in that seat. :)

Hopefully anytime now. I'm having contractions but not very strong or consistent and I'm already 4 cm and thinning. I'm so ready .... I am so ready to just have her here but she seems content where she is.

I am about to move forward with inducing......

Ok, I need help. I had my baby girl and I brought her home without using the base because I was pretty sure it wasn't right and my hubby and I are pretty much clueless. I have taken several photos and every time I try to put them on here it says, "exceeds 1mb" hmmm. Any pointers on how to get them on here so I can figure this thing out?
