Question Need a new seat!!

Hello everyone!

I currently have a graco size4 me70 which I love, but he keeps unsnapping his shoulder harness no matter the proper tightness and placement!

2 year old 31 inch and 28 lbs

So I am looking for a second car seat!

I drive a ford escape 2008 at the moment but will be transitioning to a new car soon so I will need something flexible!

I can't stand switching this one car seat back and forth between cars anymore lol! Help!

You can put the pokey side of Velcro on the clip. A lot of clips are similar so a different seat might not help. How much do you want to spend on a second seat? How long do you want him to rearface in the second seat?

I would like him to rear face for the next 6-12 months ideally till 4 but he is fast losing interest!

I would like less than 300$, it will be his new primary seat...

The longest lasting rf seats under $300 are the Graco you already have, NextFit and Radian. If he can undo this seat he very well might be able to undo the others too. The NextFit's clip is a different style though. You can put a button up shirt on him, strap him in, then button the shirt over the buckle too.

Has he responded to redirection regarding unclipping his chest clip?

I wouldn't use that product. Adding velcro to the manufacturer's clip is one thing; replacing the clip with a different product is a completely different thing.

Also, this product might not perform the same way a chest clip does in an accident. :thumbsdown:

You know how velcro has a "soft" side and a "rough" side? You use the "rough" side and put it on the chest clip so it is uncomfortable to unclip. Adults are usually not too bothered by it, but tender little hands don't like it!
