Nautilus pricing

I am going to get 2 nautilus seats this weekend as my twins are about to outgrow their boulevards. I was looking online at prices and Walmart has them for $144 compared to $179 everywhere else (except Albee which has it on sale for $159). Do they have older DOM seats? Is this why they sell them for so much less or do they generally have recent DOM's? I am just trying to decide where to go shopping.

They have recent DOM's- as recent as any other company (but, keep in mind, even if you got a GN made in January, you'd still get the same amount of life out of it as one made last week because of how Graco does their expiration policy). They just sell them cheaper and take a lower profit margin.

I think they are usually pretty recent DOMs, although I haven't bought one from them myself. Wal-Mart and Amazon almost always have that price on them, so it isn't like they are on clearance or something.

It also depends on your location and how "busy" your Walmart is. I'm in SD (land of the AOE), so EH hasn't caught on, so the GN moves a bit slower. I bought mine at Walmart in Oct 08, and the one I bought had a May 08 date.

On a side note, I'm a bit confused w/ the whole Graco expiration in December thing. If my GN has a DOM of 05/08, does it expire 12/2014?

The Target stores in my area have a "new low price" for their Nautilus models- $156. I've heard other areas do, too, but not online, so definitely check Target if you have one.

Graco seats expire in December of the 6th year. I guess that's just for uniformity. So, yes. Your 5/08 seat will expire in 12/2014- giving it a 6 1/2 year life! Go you!

Thanks everyone. I will be going out of town as the only store we have on this island is a Walmart and it's not like any you have probably seen. It is very small and the baby section usually has about 3 car seats in stock. Going to head to a town that has a giant Walmart, a Target, a BRU and a Kohls. I will start at the Walmart.
