I think the tech was a bit at a loss as to what to do! He 'shook' the RA which did not move and wanted to know 'how long did it take you to get that in'!! (as many times as I've done it, not long anymore) My seats passed and he was impressed. I was pleased because I figured they were fine but hated to assume anything. I mentioned maybe getting certified and he was very encouraging.
I was disappointed in the talk, although I expected that. He obviously was working within certain constraints and couldn't offer his opinion or make recommendations. He only had half a hour which wasn't enough time to do justice to the topic. I e-mailed the link to the SafetyBeltSafe article called 'Decisions for Parents' to the woman who organized the event. I feel that article presents the important 'stuff' in a straight forward manner. Most of it was NOT covered during the talk. I hope they make copies for all the parents at the school. (Three moms came the first day and fewer than 10 the next. I hope they don't get discouraged because if they do it again next year they should get more.)
