Marathon Cover?

I have 2 question first of all I haveny owned my marathon for a long time and yesterday i had some problems getting the male buckle to stay in the female buckle, i had to work at it for almost 5 min, trying to get it to stay and i worried the entire time we were out that she was not safe, because of that silly buckle, it finally did click and i tugged and it was tight, but why on earth was that so hard to buckle?

also i noticed a small hole in the cover where there is no material just the netting underneth, if i call britax tomorrow will they replace it?

also how do you clean the entire car seat, take it apart, is that hard to get back together?

thanks-
i can send a picutre later of the hole in the seat if anyone wants to see it to see if they might replace it.

I'm not sure about the buckle... but call Britax about that and the cover and see what they can do!
And no, it's not difficult to put the seat back together. I've done is several times to clean the seat and cover and it's not bad at all. Can be a bit awkward moving the seat around as needed, but not horrible.

I have called about the buckle problem in the past. I had returned a MA at work for the problem. Britax said to use soap and warm water. They said it probably just got gunkies in it. She acted like it was a common problem.

Yes you can rinse the MA buckle. There are directions in the manual. It does get gunky - even in ours - DD does not eat in the car.

I have had to take apart our MAs several times for cleaning and the only part I had problems with was putting the harness back in at the bottom. You have to go through separate slots on the bottom of the seat. Thankfully we have 2 MAs and I could look at the other to compare. If we didn't have 2, then I would have been at the store trying to figure out how to get it back together perfectly.
