MA in 93 Camery

I have always used the LATCH with the MA. The Camery is old and doesn't have the LATCH. I have not a clue where to start!

Is it safe for her to even be in that car?

Oh and she is 19 months, 22 pounds and RF.

The MA manual is a good place. :)

Yes, it is safe for her to be in that car- especially rf. ff may not be ideal because of the lack of tether anchors, but still not necessarily unsafe. Your MA has built in lock-offs, so you'll still be fine if the lap/shoulder belts in that vehicle don't lock (locking seatbelts weren't required until 1996).

Which position will it be in? does it have a lap only or lap/shoulder belt?

Here's some information on getting TAs retrofitted for when she is older- http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=37697

Believe the techs on here have said it's just as safe to install with the seat-belt. Also believe I've heard that you can actually get a better install with the seat-belt in some scenarios. I don't think there's any reason your car wouldn't be safe. My friend drives a 1996 Camry and has a Regent & Roundabout installed with seat-belts (believe she had ff tethers installed).
