Looking for SECOND Britax Booster Seats.. not Frontier

Hi all,

I'm looking for a second booster seat for the girls. We just got the Frontier. LOVE IT! But now we are looking for a second booster seat for gram's car. This would be used maybe 2 or 3 times a week for lunch trips and when they want to go to gram's house (about 1,000 ft give or take 100 ft).

I would LOVE for it to be another Britax but open to any suggestions.

thanks,
carol:)

Are you looking for a dedicated booster (i.e. no harness straps, used with just the seat belt) or what some call a "harnessed booster," i.e a harnessed seat that turns into a booster? Just curious. :)

Because they are not yet four, a belt positioning booster is really not an appropriate choice, even for occasional rides. Older three year olds and most four year olds just don't have the maturity to sit in them correctly 100% of the time.

There are several combination (harness-to-booster) seats that work well as both harnesses and boosters. Britax makes one, but it's not the 'best' by any means. In fact, some people strongly prefer the Graco Nautilus to the Britax Frontier. :)

A cheaper option is the Evenflo Maestro, which has 18" top slots, a 50 pound limit, and will last your girls to 6 or 7 or so, at which point you could buy a dedicated booster.

My DD who will be 4 this summer loves  her daisy Nautilus! (with 5 point harness at her age of course) The home shipping was only 97 cents and if it didn't fit well, I could have returned it to the local Walmart store and only lost the 97 cents. Or you can do site to store, but it takes longer. And I hear it makes a good booster seat for a lot of kids when they are ready for that.

We just went to the docs last week and one of the girls has hit the 50lb mark.. at least on their scale.. I still think she is under 50lbs maybe only by a little. That was 50lb with her shoes on, a light jacket and two shirts with a pair of jeans..

Anyway.. the girls are not riding with grams until we get new seats.. Need to find new homes for the Decathlons first.. We probably will go with another set of Frontiers or I don't know.. hahaha... the Decathlons are good until 65lbs but they seem to be "stuffed" into those seats after using the Frontiers..

Ahh.. decisions..
