L'il Critters

The discussion on making healthy choices prompted me to send this. We buy these calcium chews for our girls at Costco. I think L'il Critters makes vitamins too.
L'il Critters
Groovy Calcium Gummy Bears with Vitamin D
No Artificial Colors or Flavors no wheat (gluten) milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy or preservatives
manufactured in US for Northwest Natural Products Inc Vancouver , WA

The gummys are very reasonably priced and way cheaper than some you would find in a health food store. The ones we get are 'sour' fruit flavored and actually not bad. I pop one now and again for some extra calcium too!

Re: L'il Critters/Costco

We started out just getting milk, eggs and butter. Then we moved on to the gas (waay cheaper) and now....dh often comes home with fruit (their peaches are the best!!) and big containers of cashews (for him) and their fresh made multigrain bread. Slowly we are becoming a 'Costco' family!! We both buy jeans there, I wear a Costco fleece robe and iron with a Costco iron! I like the organic cereal we can buy there. It comes in huge boxes but costs about the same as the regular sized ones at the grocery store or Whole Foods.

I think that there's also a new trend toward organic versions of regular grocery store cereals. My toddler is obsessed with Rice Krispies, and I just noticed our grocery store carrying an Kelloggs-made organic version of them. I compared the ingredient list and was shocked at how different they were. And our local Trader Joe's has just started carrying an organic version of their version of Cheerios--yippee!

The Costco near us does reasonably well for organic foods, but I am so spoiled by Whole Foods (or, as my brother likes to call it, Whole Paycheck) that it's hard for me to shop anywhere else. But their kids' vitamins are outrageously expensive. I'll have to check out the Costco version. Mamato2, do you happen to know if they contain gelatin?

I think Li'l Critters was one of the brands recently tested and found to contain lead. I'm not sure because I haven't researched it, but my mother and also a friend was telling me about this. If you're using their products, then you may want to check it out...
