Lightweight and inexpensive boosters/convertibles

My daughter is almost 6, and weighs about 44lbs. My son will is almost 4, and while I'm not sure of his weight, I'd guess it is a bit under 40lbs, say 38lbs. Both are tall (44" and 42").

We are travelling to Florida at the end of the month - I have enough reservations about the quality of rental car seats, but when you consider a cost of about $10 a day to rent seats, we are thinking of just buying some new seats that can be the travel seats.

We are looking for seats that are as lightweight as possible, but also inexpensive.

Do you think your 6 yo would be okay in a backless booster for the trip? If so, the Harmony Youth Booster is a nice little travel seat. The Harmony Folding Travel Booster would be a high back booster to look at. For your 4 yo, how about the Evenflo Maestro?
