Thanks! MIL gave us some moola for school supplies so I really want to get her a super nice backpack that will last a long time so we don't get stuck buying another one for a long time! We've had both and I prefer LLBean backpacks/lunchboxes hands-down. There are some really cute lunchboxes for $9.99 right now- can't beat that!

Except that I slammed the waist strap plastic buckle in a door a few years back and broke it, it's still in fabulous condition. Really...it looks perfect

I lost part of the waist buckle to one of my LLB backpacks- called them and they sent a new one for free- no questions asked. Call 'em Maedze!

We bought our DD a backpack from L.L. Bean when she started preschool. She's used it for two years of preschool and one year of kindergarten, and she's planning to use it for first grade, too. It's held up really well.
