Question Keyfit + cloth diapers

I have a 7 lb. 2 oz., 19.5 in., 1-month-old daughter in a Chicco Keyfit 30.

We use cloth diapers but were using disposables when she was first born because she was too small for the cloth.

Now suddenly, after she's been in cloth for a week+, the shoulder straps in her carseat seem to fit wrong. Too...wide, almost? So I'm wondering if I need to move the straps up? If they're supposed to be "at or below" her shoulders, how do I tell when they're too far below?

you can move the harness up when her shoulders are level with the next slot up....and high five for a fluffy butt, we're a cloth family too!

Yes, it says to use it till 11 pounds. Plus I think her head would be pretty floppy without it.

Actually, it says you have to remove it at 11 pounds, you do NOT have to use it if she fits the seat without it. You can also use the head support with or without the infant insert. Try removing the infant insert and/or the head support, and see what happens. You can use a rolled recieving blanket if her head flops to the side too much.
