JJ Cole Bundle me crash test???

While you can do the compression test with the Bundle Me and it would most likely pass... that is not the problem with it.

The problem is the routing of the harness. They have two long slits down the sides that are velcroed together. Presumably this is so that you don't have to rethread the straps if putting it in/out of the carseat/stroller.

Those openings are no where even near where a harness lies in it's natural path. If you are using a Bundle me, the harness will not be routed correctly, could easily become caught up on something causing unnecessary slack and is just plain not safe for that reason.

See this post for pictures of what I mean...

Ditto Aidensmom.... Leila's baby sister's mom used a Bundle Me & when I babysat, it was obvious that the thing was causing slack + twisting of the straps :twocents: It's fine for a stroller, but not in a life saving device.

If she really wants to use the Bundle Me, she could cut out a large rectangle in the back of it so that there is nothing between the child and the seat.

That would make an expensive cover pretty pointless. Just dress your child in fleece, get the shower cap style and be done with it. The type that only goes over the top doesn't interfere with the harness fit or routing, doesn't go between the child and shell and doesn't go on like a second cover. There's no way to predict how the bundle me style will affect performance in a crash.

What I meant by that is we she put her baby in the seat and tightened the harness with it on and took him out and tightened and put him back in and the harness was still tight. It was like he was wearing a thin fleece shirt.

I am passing the info on though.
Thanks!
