Sold! iPod Nano

Okay, my mom has decided that she no time to learn how to use an iPod or deal with using it. So, she didn't even bother trying it out this weekend. DD said she would sell it. I checked sold items on eBay and it seems DD could get $70-$100+ on eBay. $100+ is less likely of course, that just happens to be luck of the draw if you have enough bidders.

So, she thinks $85 +shipping, and she'll include the leather Macally Bella case that she used to protect it with lanyard. Also includes the original Nano box, manual, charging cable and if you want the ear buds, we've got the original set that were used maybe twice but we'll send them with an unopened set of foam covers and toss the current covers on them.

I cannot find any scratches on the screen or on the body. There is one teeny nick on the side that is smaller than the tip of a pen and the metal isn't discoloured or scratched; the nick is still green inside. It was like that when she got it but it was way too minor to exchange.

I did a quick check before heading out to work this morning and it seems to the B.C. address it's about $10 and to the WA address it's around $14. Both of those were Expedited Parcel which would likely be in B.C. by Friday if I shipped tomorrow and is supposed to take 4-8 business days to the U.S. (not including time in customs). There was an $8 option to the U.S. but it's the "small packet ground" option which doesn't get scanned in by the post office and gets there when it gets there IIRC. So I don't feel so great about that option.

Apple sells refurbished iPods that come with the same warranty as new. They have some available:

desiree_leigh, I just found a pair of brand new (opened but unused) Apple earphones WITH remote control and mic on them. They are these ones http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB770G/B?fnode=MTY1NDA0Ng&mco=MTM3NDk1NzI They have the ability to play/pause music and video on the Nano, skip to next track, prev track, (can even answer and end calls on an iPhone). These are more comfortable than the originals that come with the iPods because they are a little smaller around (better for kids and women) and they aren't as hard in the ear. The grey ring around them is a soft rubbery material unlike the originals that they grey ring is hard plastic. Thus, these ones don't need the cheap black foam on them.

If you think you could make use of them, I could include these with the Nano.

Just wanted those interested to know that if there are no firm takers by tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon, I am putting it up on eBay by the evening. DD is going to use this for her Christmas money so I want to get it up and sold while the selling prices are good on eBay and so that DD gets her money before X-mas (and that whoever buys gets it before X-mas too!).

I'm sorry! Check out the link posted earlier by solmama, to the refurbished ones at Apple. (The link I posted after is for the Canadian store, so don't click that one if you're in the U.S. as the prices are higher.)

I have a pink one with the sync cable that my DD is selling. It is in EUC. I do have pictures if you are interested. She is looking for $60 for it.
