Intera in HBB mode.

I'm not sure that this has been noted here yet or not but...

Did you know that the Intera when used in HBB mode requires a high vehicle seat back? If the middle of the head support is above the vehicle seat back it's not supposed to be used.

I was checking out the Apex at Sears and since the mechanisms for adjusting the head support were so similar I thought I'd look and sure enough...

Keep in mind these are Canadian models.

Good to know. I hate these highback seats that require vehicle headrest or seatback to support it. Way too easy to misuse a seat like that. :(

The Apex is in Sears stores in both Dartmouth and Halifax, Nova Scotia and has been for a couple of months. it is being sold under the Safety 1st name but it's the same seat. If we have them here I would think they're available elsewhere in the country.

We had one in to one of our clinics awhile back but it was the end of the day and I wasn't quick enough to realize what it was I think I thought it was a Summit! It did not fit the car!

Yeah, Jennifer reminded me of that a bit ago -- says the Cubb/Prospect is the same, but I didn't see it in my manual (only thing unusual is that it's outgrown when top of HEAD instead of ears is even with top of seat)... haven't been able to look until today & only had 1/2 a second this morning, but am going out right now for another look to confirm! :)
