We were recently in a car accident--I hit a deer head-on, going nearly 60. Airbags didn't deploy but we definitely couldn't drive away.
Our insurance company says that car seats are personal property since they aren't a permanent feature of the car. They say we'd have to claim them through homeowners and obviously we won't hit the deductible on that.
Is that standard?
(I did replace them because I know that's required, I was just wanting to check about being reimbursed).
