Installing Evenflo Triumph Advance- Gap?

Hi all. I'm trying to install an ETA forward facing, and there is a gap between the back of the carseat and the actual seat. The gap is about 1/2"-1". If I take the headrest off, it does help some, narrows the gap to about 1/4", but then the top of the carseat isn't supported.

What do I do? I've installed it every which way, and this is just how it is. Any suggestions, is this okay? Thanks in advance!

The ETA doesn't require a vehicle headrest behind it to support it. If you can get a tighter installation with less than an inch of movement at the ETA's belt path without the vehicle headrest in place, and the vehicle's manual doesn't forbid removing the headrest when installing a child restraint, then you're probably go to go. :)

:yeahthat:

As long as it is fine according your vehicle manual you can remove it. Just don't lose it, so you have it whe you do need it.

So is it okay to have a bit of a gap even if I take the headrest out? It is absolutely rock solid, but that gap just makes me nervous!
