Installing Car Seat in a Rental Car

I am travelling by plane to Baltimore at the end of November alone with my 16month old son. We will be renting a car at the airport. I will have my son's Recaro Prosport with us. I currently use a noodle to get it to line up correctly with the ground while RF in my Volvo. My concern is that the rental car that we are assigned will have the same issue. I do not want to use a rental car agency's car seat. The one we are looking at has a Ford Focus as the example car but it says "or similar" in the description. Do I carry a noodle with me on the plane just in case I need it? We will be getting in at 8pm so it will probably be dark by the time I will be installing the car seat. It will also be cold (We are from Florida and DS will not be used to that part.) and he will be tired. This does not sound like fun. Any suggestions?

Yes, bring a pool noodle or two with you.

Do you mean a ProRide? A ProSport is a forward facing only seat, should never be installed rear facing, and would not be in my top 20 seat choices for a 16 month old.

Yes, I meant the ProRide. Sorry for the confusion. My 5 yr old has the ProSport.

I always carried sections of noodle with when we traveled with out Uptown. They're relatively small & definitely lightweight. The other option is to bring an extra baby blanket or 2 that you can use on the plane and then roll instead of the noodles for the rental car.
