Infant twins - advice please

Kabes

A friend of mine on another board has posted a question. I knew you guys were the right ones for the job. She lives in the UK and a surrogate is delivering her twins here in the US. She will come here for the delivery, stay for a few weeks in a hotel and fly home with her babies.

She needs to pick out car seats and a stroller for them. Please keep in mind she will have to fly. Are there any seats she would be able to continue using in the UK? I know its been asked before but what seats fit tiny babies best?

TIA

I could be TOTALLY off-base here, so please forgive me if I am.

I think I would buy two infant carseats in the UK, leave them in their packaging (hopefully padded in some way?), check them as baggage on the plane, and then use those while she is in the U.S.

As far as I know, there aren't any seats that can be used in both the U.S. and the U.K. Since she will be here as a visitor, she should be able to use "foreign" seats while she is here.

I will go do a search for some UK infant seats.

If she wants a "travel system"-type stroller:

The Jane Twin Two (other colors are available) http://www.babyzoop.co.uk/janepro/twintwospecs.html (traditional tandem stroller, but can be used with three different Jane infant carseats)

The Jane Power Twin (other colors are available) http://www.babyzoop.co.uk/jane/janepowertwininfo.htm (three-wheeler tandem stroller that can be used with two carseats).

Jane infant seats that work with one (or both) of the above strollers:
