Question Infant seat sugfestions for small space

Hi, I have a friend looking for an infant seat. She has a 2000 Ford extended cab pick up. She has a son in an evenflo chase outboard and wants the baby in the middle. Which seats would take the least amount of room and allow for the handle to be left up? Thanks :)

Does it necessarily need to be an infant seat? I think the Coccoro would take up a very small amount of space.

As for narrow, I believe the First Year Via, the Safety 1st Onboard air (or onside air, I can never remember which it is), and the Keyfit30 are all relatively narrow and IIRC all allow the handle to be up. The Via actually has you put the handle slightly toward the feet for rebound control, which may be something to consider in the back of a truck with the glass right there.

She would prefer an infant seat. We live in AK and it gets super cold here, it would be really hard to take a newborn in and out of a convertible at -50. I sent her the link to the carseat lady's post. I'm also going to try my evenflo embrace35 and my sisters keyfit30 to see how those fit. Thanks :)

Remember that even though the embrace 35 has the rebound position allowed for the handle it still requires 1.5” clearance. :)
