I need to order a booster TODAY!

The locking mechanism on DS's Regant no longer holds the straps tight. I need to order a booster today! DS is 52ish lbs and about 50" tall. He is 7. He has broad shoulder and I was hoping for a Monterey, but I drive a 2006 Sienna and he will be in a captains chair and I am worried about the belt path problems with this model. Is the Parkway wide enough for a broad kid? I will not buy a graco and I want a seat that latches. Are there any other options?

I haven't tried many boosters. DD is about your son's size and fits well in the Parkway but is not broad shouldered IMO.

The Clek Oobr also has LATCH. The Cybex X-Fix does but it still requires you to buckle the seat in after use.

The Parkway should fit even a broad-shouldered 7 year old pretty well. But try him in it if you can.

The Frontier 85 can also be used with LATCH in booster mode, but if you're done harnessing not much use in buying that. Though it IS nice and wide.

What part of the Regent has a locking mechanism? I didn't think that Regents had a locking belt clip. My Husky didn't even come with a locking clip because you either locked it with the belt or used the long belt path.

I think she just means the harness slips and doesn't stay tight.

Ok, that makes sense... I didn't even think of that being a possiblity.
