Question Help me save my leather upholstery!

I have leather seats in an Acura MDX, with a Graco MyRide installed rear-facing for my petite 5%ile 1 year old. I just noticed that it is leaving horrible dents on the seat. Is there a way to safely protect my seats?

I am also open to buying a new seat, and using the MyRide in another car. Anyone have suggestions, for a seat that has a more solid bottom? I would like to stay under $200, but I don't care much for Dorel or Diono seats.

Every few months I'd take the seat out for overnight, condition the leather, and just let it breathe. I wouldn't worry too much. When I get my car details the indentations are sucked out by their super vac by the time I get the car back a few hours later.

I agree with what Wendy said. In addition, I would make sure that both the car seat bottom and the vehicle seat are clean and free of any crumbs/dirt/etc. For me, the only spot where I had any marking on the leather over the years are where I hastily installed on a seat that wasn't clean and the friction left some marks. (Crumbs dropped after install didn't seem to be a problem since they didn't get between the seat and the leather)
