Help me help my friend!

My bf has 3 boys. She is an amazing mom but her husband passed away 2 years ago and is raising them herself. I just readyabout kids needing to be harnessed till even 8 ! I'm not sure on her boys height but what are some seats that I could recommend to her for her 5 year old (taller size for a 5 year old) and a 3 year old. She so drives a Buick rendezvous and that won't break the bank
I told her to check here so we will have to wait and see if she does

Hi, kids don't have to be harnessed til 8 -- once they are able to sit properly without moving around or messing with the seatbelt (generally age 5-6), it's fine to put them in a booster.

That harnessing until 8 statement was an error in the articles about LATCH. The AAP does not say to harness until 8.

Just to be clear, the 3 year old definitely must be in a harness. So if he's not, we can still help come up with something.
