Help - carseat or booster for Jeep Liberty 2004

I am having a problem finding a carseat or booster for my son. He is 5.5 years old, 37 pounds and 40 inches tall. My problem is that carseats and boosters do not seem to install properly in the 2004 Liberty. I have tried a Britax Frontier (5 pt), Graco Turboboost (booster) and Graco Affix (booster). The boosters fit properly on the seat but teh seatbelt does not tighten properly due to the location of the buckle. The Frontier (and Roundabout for that matter) have problems tightening properly for the 5pt harnass - I think it's the size/shape of the seat. This is a secondary vehicle, but I still want safe options for my children. An older (but not expired Marathon) seems to fit perfectly and always has since we purchased it in approx. 2008.

Chely used to have a newer generation
ion Liberty.

I had no issues with the Turbobooster in my 03 Liberty other than not much room to buckle. As far as inexpensive options to try, the high back Amp and the Harmony Dreamtime might work.
