Am trying to get a Cosco Scerena in DH's Ford F-150 and I've tried both latch and seatbelt and cannot get a tight fit.. It moves wayyyy to much with both

I cannot make out the picture you posted. That looks like the piece that holds the LATCH strap to the seat.

Try peeling back the cover near the belt path and pulling on the LATCH (or seatbelt) from the inside. That will give you a better angle. You should also press down in the bum area while tightening. Another technique I sometimes use is th stand behinf the seat and press the top of it with my torso while tightening.

That's the LATCHhanging right there... I was attempting seatbelt install and just left it hanging to see if it would work with seat belt first....
But I will go try to do it removing the cover..

I have another question... I put DD in this seat today and her head slumps forward and to the side every time she fell asleep. Is there anything I can use/do to fix it?

Make sure the foot is completely folded in and you can use a pool noodle or tightly rolled towel in the crease of the seat under the base to get a better recline.

If her head is falling to the side, that's fine. If she's uncomfortable, she will move. It's not a safety concern.

Ditto...if her head goes to the side that's normal and fine, they're not going to hold a big head completely up. If her chin goes to her chest then try using a towel or pool noodle under the front of the scenera (where her feet are) to get more recline.

A lot of the time if my girls fall asleep I prop a jacket or blanket beside their head so it doesn't fall as far to the side and they have something fluffy to rest on.

Can you post a pic of your install?

Is there Latch that can be used in the seating position that you used it in?
