I have a Recaro Como G2 with a manufacture date of 6/25/09. This was my now 7.5 year old daughter's convertible seat (she is now in a Recaro high back booster).
I have a 9 month old baby that is about to outgrow her infant seat.
The Como has been stored in our basement for a few years. Apparently, one of our cats peed on it. I took it all apart, but it's down to the foam. I contacted Recaro and asked about replacement foam/straps, and it would cost at least $40 to replace those.
Ok, given that the seat has about 1.5 years left in its lifespan, but my new daughter will need one for at least the lifespan of a new one (~6ish years) and I'd have to spend at least $40 to get replacement parts....I should just get a new seat, right?
