Question Headrests in 2013 VWJetta Wagon

Can they be removed?

Also, I cannot find any info on on routing for TA to make me not put it under the headrests. It comes off the restraint about half way up the headrest and then down to under and over the seat back (the HR overlaps the seat back a little). Having them in the highest position pushed the CR off the vehicle seat. It is one of those few that I look at and think that I'm going to route over the HR, but I found nada. Anyone know differently?

According to the LATCH manual, VW doesn't specify. But the LATCH manual recommends going under the head rest whenever possible or in the most direct path.
If you do remove the headrest, be sure to store it in a secured location or outside the vehicle so it doesn't become a projectile in a wreck.

Thank you. All things I knew, I just wanted to make sure nobody else had a more specific experience with it in person. Sometimes there are tricks to removing the headrests or dealers can do it when we can't. Nothing about it was unacceptable, but I am picky. :p Took a 4yo out of a backless booster and into a Sureride. :D

We have the 2013, too, & our dealer kept emphasizing that the seats will not fold completely flat because the headrests cannot be removed. We're still RF our daughter, so I have not checked out the manual or the headrests yet. I just wanted to share what the dealer told me fwiw.
