Question Harness to booster with most crotch room

I have 4 year old twins and a 2 year old. The twins are 35" and 35.5" and 37.5 and 39 lbs respectively.

Right now the twins are in Clek Foonfs and my 2 year old has a fllo. We also use sceneras for travel. One twin has been complaining about his privates hurting in both seats for about a year. I want to keep them in a 5 point harness and they aren't heavy enough yet to transition so I've been looking into getting them a harness to booster.

I need it to have ample crotch room (so far the nautilus looks great but is there anything better?), and fit 3 across in a 1996 Ford Explorer that I recently inherited and had tether anchors installed in.

Thanks in advance! (And disregard my sig if it shows up, I'm on mobile but I know it's old!)

How wide is that back seat? The Nautilus is really wide, so probably not the best choice for your situation.

I would look at a Graco Tranzitions/Wayz.

Also, they are 3'5 and 3'5.5" - obviously not 35"!! 😂😂😂

I will look at that! I had actually bought the transitions before I got this car and they didn't fit in my Scion. But the nautilus does have abbot more crotch room than the tranzitionz if I remember correctly.

It was then graco. It was close but my other car is a Scion Xb and my cleks are even tight in there. It is SMALL.

It looks like the explorer backseat is about 49-50" across the middle of the part where your tush goes. 😂

Google seems to be saying the explorer rear hip room is 51.7" and rear shoulder room is 56" or so.

So does that mean my options are pretty limited width wise? Do I go by hip or shoulder?

Both can be important.

If it's really over 51", you should theoretically be able to fit a Clek and a couple of Tranzitions.
