Graco headwise harness straps

My daughter vomited in her car seat today and I managed to clean everything but the harness straps are still smelly. Is there a way to remove the straps? I can't figure out how. It is a Grace Headwise 70 I looked online about ordering replacements but none came up. So I guess a follow up would be if they can't be removed what happens when they start to get worn? She is 21 months and I'm hoping to keep the seat for years to come.

Hi. I don't believe the straps can be removed. You'll want to follow the instructions on cleaning the harness. You can use a mild soap on them. I'd put something like a couple of drops of Dawn or a baby shampoo into a bowl and fill it with water. Dip a washcloth in it and wipe down the straps. You can use a soft toothbrush to get in the crevices. Rinse the washcloth with water and wipe the soap off and dry the harness as flat as possible to avoid crimping wrinkles in it. Set it in the sun to help remove any odors. Good luck!
