DS is almost 6 and we had to raise the shell to ensure the straps were at/above his shoulders.

Then I noticed that on the harness it said something to the effect of only raise harness when using in booster mode.

huh??

I would prefer to keep him in a 5 point harness but wondering if I cant since I raised the shell?

Thanks!

On the 85 there are settings to raise the headrest above what you can do harnessed. You remove a screw and it goes higher for booster mode. That is for booster mode only. However, as long as you're raising the headrest into one of the approved heights on the back, you're good.
