TLDR:
For a forward facing install, leave the seat back more upright and have a gap with the seat back or recline the seat back to get rid of the gap? Which is correct/most safe?
I'm Installing out Britax Boulevard 65 CS forward facing in a middle row captain's chair of a 2011 Honda Odyssey. It installed tight but there was a gap between the base of the seat and the seat back. I'd always thought that this wasn't good. Reading on the Britax website they say that's it's "OK" but the way they word it seems like it would be better if the gap wasn't there. I noticed that if I angle the captain's chair back a notch or two the car seat sits flat against the seat back, but is it OK to have the captains chair angled back that far? I can't seem to see anything about it in Honda or Britax's manuals so I thought I'd check here and see what people though.
Thanks!
