It seems like they vary. Like some fit better than others. My pre-order one is harder than my newer one that was a replacement for a cosmetic defect.

Thanks for the info on the Foonf. I have a lead on a local deal on one, new, and wanted to know what i was dealing with

What do y'all think about padding or lack of? Bad reviews in random places about the seat being barely padded.

Seems padded/comfortable to me. No complaints. I mean, it's not all full of huge pillows, but it's not hard or anything.

No complaints about lack of padding here but I wouldn't call it cushy. We live in south Texas and ERF so DS doesn't get great airflow from the A/C vents. I wouldn't want super-cushy because it would be too hot. He was in a BLVD70 and TFP before the Foonf and has never said anything about being uncomfortable since the switch.

Just had one in my paws.

One of my 5yo said it was OK. The other 5yo said it was hard. The 2yo liked it because it was green. I didn't think to make my 9yo sit in it before boxing it back up.

I was not impressed with the padding on it. The back was almost ok, the butt was quite hard. I wouldn't want to sit in it for a long trip. Of course I weigh more than the average child, so...
