Flying with Regent

Ok. I have a tall 2 year old. I am thinking of getting the Regent for him since I'm having issues with the Radian but what do I do when I fly? He is way to young for a booster seat in the rental car and what about the plane?

If I'm not mistaken, the Regent in not approved for use on an aircraft.

Would your son still fit in a Scenera? It's only $40 and makes a great travel seat!

Well, you can not take the Regent on the plane as it is not FAA aproved. What is your DC's torso height? If it is less than 14.5" I would buy a Scenara for $39 that can be used in both the plane and the rental car. :twocents:

Someone on another board took her Regent flying, checked it as baggage, and was very disappointed when it got really messed up (cover really scuffed, I think...and filthy)... definitely not a traveling seat. I like that 'keep the radian for travel' idea :)

I take it she didn't have a cover bag or the original box for it, right? Yikes. :( But since I've received my luggage beaten up, I'm definitely not trusting a huge car seat to come through unscathed. Airline travel is gambling... never trust them with what you can't afford to lose.

I'd keep the Radian as travel backup too, with the Regent. Oh wait, I already have :p ;)

Unfortunatly I can't afford the Radian and the Regent. He fits in a Scenera for now but not for much longer. That would probably work for our xmas flight but not after that. I guess I will just try to make the Radian work in our car. Also my baby has a Marathon and a Scenera. Which would would be better for me to take on the plane?

Take the Scenera for the Baby and the MA for the older child.
