FFing recline question

On Britax's website, it says the RA, MA and Blvd can be reclined FF'ing. I had thought the recline was only for RF'ing. The one time I had left my MA reclined, it wouldn't install at all FFing. Why is this okay, and is it safe to recline your vehicle seat back to install the seat reclined?

The MA and BV can be reclined ff up to 33 lbs. Really, most kids who are under that weight and still need the recline should still be rf. The RA manual doesn't state a weight limit. It only says in the ff section that "Child seat may be in upright or recline position. See Recline Adjustment on page 30."

Whether you can recline the vehicle seat to install a carseat depends on your vehicle owner's manual. Some allow a slight recline (1-2 clicks), though you should have it as upright as possible while still allowing a proper install. Keep in mind that an over reclined ff seat can contribute to spinal compression and neck loading.

Under warnings, left column, page 3

This child seat must be in the recline position when installed rear- 􀁳􀀀
facing. This child seat must be in the upright position when installed
forward-facing.

So no, the RA cannot be installed ff'ing in recline mode.
