Hi all!
I've got a friend who's 2yo is a little Houdini. She's double-jointed (is hypermobile the right term?) and can escape her harness without loosening or unbuckling (she may or may not be pushing the chest clip down, she's RF, so mom can't see what she's doing 'til she's out.) Mom has said they're strapping her in so tight as of late, because of the escaping, that she's developing bruises on her shoulders. I suggested she loosen it up a bit because I figure being in pain is probably encouraging her to escape even more, but do you have any other ideas?
She's only 2, so reasoning isn't working. I'm not sure the velcro trick will work 'cause I'm not sure she's manipulating the chest clip (but I will suggest it.) Backwards button shirt? I'm going to offer her use of my Radian and try my Peg to see if a different seat helps (she's in a SureRide,) but other than that?
Mom's at her wit's end.
