ERFing in a 2011 Subaru Outback

A Sargent that was in DH's Guard unit contacted me she's got a 2011 Subaru Outback. Her son is 7 months 27" and she didn't say his weight. I think he's currently in either a Baby Trend or Key Fit currently. She said she's getting ready to put him in a convertible. She said she went to a couple places in town and was so overwhelmed and confused. Friday she's coming over to try my Complete Air65, Marathon 70, and Classic Roundabout. Are there any other seats she should look at? She wants to keep him RFing as long as possible with 2 years minimum. I was thinking the CA may her best bet since I've heard the Radian doesn't play well with Subarus.

The new Outbacks are really roomy, I wouldn't be surprised if you could get a Radian in there with an AA. I personally have never done it, but I wouldn't count it out. The Britaxes should fit well. I don't know about the CA65. We had a True Fit in our Impreza and it fit great, so that's another option to look at.

The new Outbacks are nice and roomy. Gosh darn near anything will fit in them, so I would try the radian with AA. However, the Complete Air will not fit at the "correct" angle. I would install it at something reasonable and try it like that, but that's just me. True Fit works well, Scenera works well, Triumph works in the center, but can be a pain on the sides. Have fun playing.

I agree. Lots of front to back room.

Here are pictures in a 2010 outback. Radian installed easy center and outboard with seatbelt without the aa. This was before the aa came out.

Eta: both photos are taken with the front seats all the way back.

Easy peasy. Just make sure not to over tighten at the retractor or it'll pull up on the side.
