My baby turned 1 today. *sniffle sniffle* A year ago at this time he was in the hospital hooked up to tubes and monitors & just taken off the ventilator...

So we've now officially joined the erf'ing club. He's somewhere around 21lbs & just over 31" - I don't have a current side shot of him in the car, I'll have to get one soon though... It's about time I update my siggy pic. :)

Thanks guys.

You know what the kind of scary thing is? I look at him & know that most kids are turned at his age & size, but he is still such a baby. I have to wonder how people can really look at a 1yr old and feel like it's safe to switch them ff'ing on their 1st b-day, or if they even think it through at all and instead do it just because they can or it's what the dr. told them to do or something along those lines...

I think that's why:( At least that's why I flipped my boys ffing on their first b-day:whistle: I didn't know any better and the doc said it's okay. Now I look at my 3yo, 34 pounds and think she's too little to be ffing! She rfed until 33 pounds. My baby will stay rfing as long as possible too. Live and learn and thank God that nothing happened! I try to let people know what I have learned, but so many don't seem to care and think I'm insane:mad: One of my closest friends had her baby rfing in a MA (at my rec) at 13 months and I was excited that she actually listened - until I saw her the next week and he was ffing:( He was about 25 pounds but still on the lowest slots.

Happy Birthday! My son was a 33 weeker too born 9/1 (his adjusted age is 1 today). He is only 18 lbs right now, so of course he is still rfing. When he does hit that mark, I won't be changing him to ffing.
