Do I sell or keep?

I have an Ashley Floral Marathon classic that was Dds. She just ourgrew it over the summer and is temporarily in an xtsl until I figure out what to do with her  The Ma has a DOM of 11/07 (I think)...I was going to keep it to use with baby W but he is currently 5 months and 15lbs and in an SR32. So, really, how much time would he actually get out of it? Not much...I cleaned the seat and put it away for him, it has all its pads. Should I keep it and use it for him a year from now or should I just sell it? And what would it be worth anyway?

To figure price for a used seat, I always do the following:

Find the current price online of what it would cost to buy new NOW (regardless of how much you paid for it in the past). Then take that divided by the total lifespan in years, and multiply by the number of years left. Then I usually put on a bit to help cover shipping and advertise it as ppd.

So...

Current Price \ lifespan in years = A
A x number of years left to expiration = B
B + approx shipping charges = C = selling price ppd

Of course if I don't expect that I'll be shipping it, I don't add anything in at the end, and I price it for 'B'. If I need to sell quickly I'll price a bit lower than that base price, or if I'm not sure I want to sell, I'll price a bit higher...but that is typically a good starting point.

Forgot to add...I typically won't sell a seat that is much past halfway through its lifespan, unless its to someone I know and I'm very clear about the expiration date and that I expect them to quit using it at such time.

Because once its more than halfway through its lifespan, the base price is getting down around $50-75 in most cases, if not lower, at least for the seats I own -- which in my area attracts people who are much more likely to use it past its near-ish expiration date.

I have noticed recently that the Ashley covers seem to sell pretty well on Ebay (they usually go for~$35-$50). I would maybe sell the cover separately, and then use the base for the next BRU/TRU 25% off trade-in event (I'm assuming there will be another in the spring) towards a new seat for your DS.

I personally would sell the cover, buy a new cover on here in swap for it and use it til it expires. You really won't get enough for it to make it worth buying a new seat in my opinion...

I had a feeling I should just use it...I have another Marathon in the shed that expired almost a year ago so I do have one for trade in :) The cover on that one is girly too and pretty stained, I do have another cover I dont remember what its called but its a grey/blue. Only problem with that one is the elastic stretched out
