Hello my question is about which is the best car seat between Diono RadianRXT or Evenflo Symphony, we have a susuki scross and susuki swift, my baby is 4 months and his weigh is 19.84 lbs.

Thanks a lot for your comments.

Keep in mind that the radian does not generally make a useable booster, most kids outgrow that feature by height before meeting the weight limit (50 pounds minimum). If you are looking for an all in one, I would check out the Safety First Go and Grow, Graco Milestone or Graco 4 ever.

As you can see from the answers already posted a lot of what makes a car seat the "best" depends on how you want to use it. Are you looking for a car seat that rear-faces for a long time or a car seat that will see your child clear through to boostering or a car seat that has a slim profile. If you list the goals/features that you desire we will be able to give you better advice.

Thanks a lot for your comments, I want a car seat that be secure and that I can use for a long time, I saw the Diono is one of the most secure car seat and it supports up to 100 lbs.

I'm not sure quite what you mean by "most secure." We don't have ratings comparing the safety of different seats. Correct use is a huge factor in the safety of a seat though, and honestly Diono seats are often difficult to use correctly and have installation issues in many vehicles. The 100 pound weight limit is also misleading because it is very rare that it can accommodate a child that weighs 100 pounds. As someone said above, the booster function is usually outgrown before the child is heavy enough to use the booster, and so most kids outgrow the seat the same time that they outgrow the harness. There are many convertible seats on the market that have a harness that will last as long (and in some cases longer) than the Diono harnesses.

All that to say - if longevity is a primary goal, then Diono is not terrible, but is definitely not as good as it looks on paper.

If you really want something that will work as a booster down the line AND will rear face a long time and do forward facing well, and your budget can handle a Radian and you don't specifically need the narrowness of a Radian, then hands down, I would grab a Graco Milestone. I have 2 Radians (R100) and a Milestone. Other than tight side by side installs, there is nothing I like better about the Radian than the Milestone.
