Cybex Aton 2 question

My daughter is just about 22 pounds and according to my measurements, 31 inches. She has 1.5 inches above her head in the Cybex Aton infant car seat. I just read that the rule is 30 inches, but wasn't sure if anyone knew if Cybex went by the 1 inch rule as well? I know I need to get a new car seat for her ASAP either way, but wanted to know... TIA

I'm not sure whether Cybex is hard and fast on their limit or indicates it as a guideline (there are companies that come down on either side of that.) Do make sure you get a proper measurement- they're hard to measure at that age!- and start looking for a new seat, but I PERSONALLY, as an educated parent, would want to move as soon as possible- like, I'd be buying a new seat with the next paycheck- but wouldn't be going "OMG MY CHILD IS HORRIBLY UNSAFE I MUST NOT DRIVE UNTIL I GET THE NEW SEAT" as long as she still has well over 1" above her head.

Remember that a 22 lbs. you also need to reinstall the base more upright. :)

Both rules apply. I have contacted Regal Lager (Cybex's US distributor) with a similar question about child fit only to have the customer service rep basically read the manual to me over the phone, so I doubt you'll get good advice on how to evaluate your particular situation. I would move the kid to a convertible after double-checking the kid's length. My kid recently was measured at two doctor's offices one day after the other and got results that were different by an inch.
