The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) warns consumers that some "metoo" clip-on table top chairs, imported by phil&teds USA Inc., of Fort Collins, Colo. put young children at risk of serious injury due to multiple safety hazards. CPSC is urging consumers to stop using some metoo clip-on chairs immediately.

Out of curiosity, is there a certain threshold that needs to be met before the government conducts an involuntary recall? I know that's rare, and probably not something they like to do, but this one sounds pretty serious.

Good question, Jennie.

The only other one I remember is when a Company went out of business and the company that subsequently purchased the right to the name wouldn't provide a rememdy (Crib or bassinet, I think).

It says p&t is sending out the rubber grippy parts but I haven't heard from them. I remember diapers.com sending something about this via email back in march or so. I haven't used mine since, but being that it is getting nicer, it is perfect to throw in the diaper bag for when we're at the zoo and such and stop for lunch.

I'm slightly disapointed with p&t for refusing a recall. This sounds dangerous. That being said, I spent a good chunk of money on this and if they aren't going to fix the problem, I'd prefer my money back.
