complete air harness problems

Ok, so my mom purchased a complete air for my daughter who will be 3 tomorrow....she has been using it for about 2 months. She is very good at installing them and knows all the info about extended RF'ing, which is why she got her the complete air.....we come up to visit for a couple months every 3-5 months or so when my husband deploys.

so it's installed, is nice and tight in her 1998 honda crv, RFing.....since day one, I couldn't tighten the harness to my liking...it's tight, but i just couldn't get it any tighter (meaning if she had been skinnier, I couldnt' have gotten it any tighter)....but it was sufficiant and I just figured I'd look into it later. (we have been very busy with some legal stuff)....so while it's tight enough I want it tighter, and because my 10 month old son might one day want to ride in it, I want to get it tighter if needed......anyways....today, I put her in the carseat, tightened it, got to the store, went to loosen it, and now I cannot tighten it or loosen it....what is going on???????

has anyone had this problem??

I would guess the splitter plate is getting caught on something under the seat. I would take it out of the vehicle, turn it over and start looking to see where it might be catching.

Agreed it's probably the splitter plate getting hung up. Mine tightens really tight. If that doesn't solve the problem give the manufacturer a call and see what they say. It is possible the seat is defective.
