Collision with installed carseat PHOTOS

It looks like the tether had never been used and the locking clip is still on the back of the seat.

Saddens me when there was no reason at all not to have used the tether and locking clip. Lucky that no one was seriously hurt.

It is too bad that it was being used incorrectly, but it just goes to show that even an incorrect carseat is better than no carseat. Do you think the little guy would have fared as well if he had been in a backless booster (seems unthinkable for a two year old, but plenty of people do it because their child "fits" within the booster's 30 lbs. guideline)?

You would be correct! They are very lucky! They still have not called me. I hope they will or call the FD up on base. Iknow htere are 2 techs up there.

I agree. Her DS probably would not be at home right now.
