I got a Clek Oobr booster for my DD1, who is 5y 10m currently, 45" and 45 lbs. I drive a 2012 Odyssey. We also have a Britax Parkway SGL that I moved to DH's car when I got the Oobr. The Parkway was okay, but it kind of seemed to sit askew and I was really impressed with Clek's other booster without the high back that a friend had, so I ordered the HBB for DD1. She seemed to well in it for a few weeks, but then I started to notice that she was slouching in it and propping her feet up on the seat in front of her. Grrrr. I was surprised because she never had problems sitting in the Parkway, so I switched back, and she's sitting fine. I don't think it's maturity, it just seems to be uncomfortable for my leggy little girl. I tried reclining it a little, and that made it even less comfortable for her.
Am I doing something wrong or is it just the booster seat (or the combo of the booster and my van)? Any ideas or experience with this problem? I'm miffed at myself for sinking money into a booster that didn't work out.
One other question- on the Parkway SGL- is there any reduction in safety compared to other HBB if DD1 doesn't use the thingy between the legs?
Thanks!
