Today was my 2nd clinic and I've already completed my 10 seats.... sooooooooo I guess that means it's official :)

Now that I'm a tech can I do my own, private clinics???

Congratulations! Now move to London Ontario please :)

There are several techs in the London area, actually. PurpleCat is one and I'm there a few times a year and often offer to run clinics while I'm in town too.

dingohate, congrats! Yes, technically you can now run your own private clinics but I think most of us prefer to wait for our official certificate to arrive so we can have that on us as proof.

That's probably a good idea LOL. I wasn't going to do one in the driveway tomorrow or anything (okay, the thought crossed my mind lol) :p I was just wondering if I HAD to volunteer with an organization like SJA/SEATS or if I could get together with other techs and we could do our own etc.

My certificate should be in the mail on Monday according to my instructor

If you do decide to work solo, just make sure that you're confident enough in your skills and knowledge to do so, first. If you're unsure of anything, keep a few numbers on hand so you can text other technicians or your instructor(s) with questions during checks. I keep 3 or 4 techs in my phone just in case, even still.
